Inground Termite Baiting Stations

What are Termite Baiting Stations?

Termite Baiting Stations are small stations (see photos) that are installed within the ground every 2-3 meters around the property with Tasmanian Oak inside the baiting stations to attract termite activity into the baiting stations, where the termites are then baited. The product we use to bait within the baiting stations is a mammalian non-toxic product, so there is no harm or danger if there are pets or children around. These baiting stations act as a protection barrier/zone around the property, as termites are very attracted to Tasmanian Oak and will attack it in preference to other timbers that may be nearby. They sense it and then are drawn to it. These Termite Baiting Stations need to be regularly checked, either monthly or bi-monthly.

There is no further fee/hidden cost involved once Termite Baiting Stations are installed, other than the cost for annual monitoring, which should be renewed each year. This annual monitoring also includes the treatment of active termites within the stations when necessary (no matter how often or in how many stations), and also includes servicing stations where needed.

Best Practice Protection

Before Quality Termite Control begins installing Termite Baiting Stations or a Perimeter Termite Soil Treatment we require the following action listed below:

  • To reduce the risk of unforeseen damage to your property’s services a service locator inspection needs to be performed, as Quality Termite Control’s technicians cannot detect pipes under the concreted slab/tiled/paved areas.

Quality Termite Control recommends the detection unit inspection device to try and minimise risk associated with invading or hitting the pipelines.

As Quality Termite Control does not carry out this inspection we can organise the third party supplier to conduct it for you at cost, and of course you are welcome to arrange your own inspection independently should you choose.

Quality Termite Control cannot over stress the importance of a service locator inspection before we commence either the Installation of Inground Termite Baiting Stations or a Perimeter Termite Soil Treatment to concreted slab/paved/tiled areas.

Contact Quality Termite Control on 1800-656343 for inquires or to book in for a Free Site assessment and Quotation.
